If you’ve done the latter, you know how difficult and time-consuming it can be to plan a trip with multi-city departures, especially if there are more than just two travelers! Luckily, Pack Up + Go has an expert team of Trip Planners who can coordinate transportation, accommodations, and curate the activities for the vacation, taking away all your planning stress. How To Take A Surprise Trip With Pack Up + Go
So what do you and your friends need to do to take a Surprise Trip with Pack Up + Go? Let’s go over these simple steps!
Confirm Your Timeframe
Decide how long you want your trip to be, and when you’d like to take the vacation. Our trips range from a minimum of two nights to a maximum of ten nights. Each traveler should carefully review their upcoming schedules and ensure that the timeframe works with their plans. Currently, our booking window is 2 weeks, so make sure you book your trip at least 2 weeks in advance of departure!
Choose Your Trip Type
For multi-city departures, we offer Plane Trips and Outdoors Plane Trips. For Road Trips and Outdoors Road Trips, all travelers must depart from one location so that we can create custom Road Trip directions for your getaway. So discuss with your group if you’re looking for a more outdoorsy trip, or a city-focused trip, and you’re one step closer to to booking your vacay!
Take The Pre-Trip Survey
This is a great activity to do with your group over video chat or a phone call! You get to share all your specific interests, wants, and needs for this vacation so our Trip Planners can cater the destination and activities to exactly what your group would like. On your Pre-Trip Survey, you’ll tell us the departure airport for each traveler, and we’ll do our best to have your flights arrive at your destination around the same time.
Receive Your Envelopes
A few days before you depart, everyone in your group will receive a Surprise Trip Envelope so you can all have your own moment of surprise when you find out your destination. At the end of the Pre-Trip Survey, you will be able to add any necessary additional addresses for these envelopes. Remember…no peeking until the day you depart!
Embark On Your Trip
Time to head out! One week before you depart, we'll email you the weather forecast for your destination. We’ll also let you know if you should bring anything specific on your trip, like a bathing suit or hiking boots. We'll email you an updated weather forecast for your trip the day before you depart, as well. On the morning of your departure, we’ll send out your “Open Your Envelope” email letting you know it’s time to reveal the destination. This email will also include all the information you need to check in for your flight. And then, enjoy your trip! Your Surprise Trip Envelope includes everything you need to have the perfect getaway with your favorite people.
