The Pack Up + Go Surprise Trip Envelope holds all your surprises.
From directions to curated recommendations and gift certificates, it has it all!
Here’s what you should expect when you receive yours:
USPS Mailing Envelope*
This priority mail outer envelope is what carries your official Pack Up + Go Envelope!
This surprise destination envelope will be put in the mail one (1) week prior to your departure. It should arrive two (2) - four (4) days before your departure date, but if you are concerned feel free to reach out to our team and we can check the status.
When the envelope arrives, don't be afraid to open the outer USPS mailing package! What is revealed is your white envelope with the words "Ready, Set, Go! Surprise destination inside. Warning: do not open until the day of departure"!
*Occasionally, we’ll send some envelopes via FedEx, but don’t worry! These envelopes still have all the same information as the USPS ones.
Surprise Destination Envelope
The famous envelope that reveals your surprise destination!
This envelope contains all the information about your trip.
Make sure to bring the white envelope unopened to your airport, driveway, special event, or any other place you plan on revealing your destination!
Once opened you’ll find a “No Peeking” page that covers the destination reveal (“You’re going to _____!”). Followed by hotel/road trip directions, your curated recommendations, how to get around in your destination, fun facts, and more!

We take all the information on your Pre-Trip Survey (and may even reach out to learn more!) and customize a set of recommendations that meets your interests, dietary restrictions, and any accessibility needs.
The curated recommendations are designed to give you a plethora of recommendations spanning all of the interests that you have selected for your Surprise Getaway. We give you plenty of recommendations to choose from so that you can decide what interests you the most!

Taking a Plane Trip?
Inside your Pack Up + Go folder, you’ll receive hotel directions from your arriving airport or train station to your accommodations! In these directions, you’ll find the check-in/check-out times, front desk number, and anything else you need to know about the hotel or bed + breakfast!
For Plane Trips, you’ll receive all the information you need to check into your flights.
Taking a Road Trip or Outdoors Road Trip?

Pack Up + Go Trip budgets are guaranteed to cover your travel and accommodation expenses! Any extra money we have left in your budget after booking your travel and lodging goes towards trip activities.

Every trip is unique and we do our best to choose activities we think you’ll love! If having trip activities is important to you, we recommend increasing your budget accordingly and letting us know on your Pre-Trip Survey in the section titled “Is there anything else we NEED to know”!

Frequently Asked Questions
Who Receives the Envelope?
Your Pack Up + Go surprise destination envelope will be mailed to Traveler #1 at the address you provided on your Pre-Trip Survey. If there is one traveler in particular who you want to receive the envelope, make sure you list them first on the Pre-Trip Survey! This is particularly important if you are filling out the survey to celebrate someone's birthday, graduation, etc., and want them to receive the envelope at their address.
Does each traveler in a group receive a Surprise Envelope?
If you are all departing from the same airport, we will only mail one envelope to Traveler #1. If members of your group are departing from more than one airport, each departing airport group will receive one envelope.
What if my envelope gets lost in the mail?
Not to worry! We send you all of the information digitally as well. You'll receive everything via email at the designated time of departure. You'll receive your city guide by email, too, so you can access it on the go. We'll put your envelope in the mail one week before your trip with USPS 2-day shipping. They usually arrive two (2) - four (4) days before your departure. If it hasn't shown up, send us a note and we'll go from there!
