We created Peace of Mind Refund Assurance so we can provide you with protection to book your Surprise Trips without stress, and ensure that you won’t miss out on adventure in 2021.
Peace of Mind Refund Assurance was created by Pack Up + Go for Pack Up + Go Travelers. This optional add-on is about giving you total peace of mind and absolute flexibility when you travel with us, which is why we put it right in the name!

What is Peace of Mind Refund Assurance?
Things come up, and plans change. Peace of Mind Refund Assurance, powered by Pack Up + Go, allows you to change your trip dates or cancel your trip for any reason, up until the day of your departure. Peace of Mind Refund Assurance is an optional add-on available at check-out for all Trip Types. Peace of Mind costs an additional 10% of your total trip budget.
Even if we cannot secure a refund from your airline, hotel, or activity providers, we will refund you:
100% of your travel budget if your trip is 4+ weeks away
80% of your travel budget if your trip is 72+ hours away - 4 weeks away
75% of your travel budget if your trip is within 72 hours
If you have airline credits, you will also receive your credit information for future use.
If you need to change your trip dates:
We will change your reservations to either a specific date or hold for future use. If there is an increase in fare we will cover the difference up to 2x what you paid for Peace of Mind.
How is this different from Travel Insurance?
Peace of Mind Refund Assurance is NOT travel insurance, it is a guaranteed refund policy. It does not cover medical emergencies on your trip or lost luggage. Peace of Mind Refund Assurance gives you flexibility when unexpected circumstances arise and you need to cancel or change your trip dates. Peace of Mind also helps cover the costs of travel mishaps that may otherwise set your vacation off on the wrong foot such as a cancelled flight or a missed connection.
Unlike working with third-party insurance companies, Peace of Mind Refund Assurance is powered completely by Pack Up + Go! Our responsive Traveler Support Team will have your refund back to you within 48 hours of your cancellation - no hours on the phone with customer service agents, no back and forth, just a straightforward refund.

What happens if I don’t opt into Peace of Mind Refund Assurance?
If you need to change your travel dates or cancel your trip, we cannot guarantee any refunds without Peace of Mind. We are subject to the rules and regulations of the airlines, hotel, activity providers, who all have different refund and cancellation policies.
If you need to change your trip dates, you are responsible for any increases in costs, in addition to the Pack Up + Go $100 change fee.
Peace of Mind Refund Assurance will only affect Pack Up + Go Trips purchased on or after March 31, 2021. If you have already purchased your Surprise Trip, you are still subject to our 2020 Cancellation and Postponement policy.
